Raised in California’s Monterey Peninsula, shaped surfboards in Santa Cruz, globe-trotted solo for the adventure, settled in Mexico City to study music, became distracted by the art of cutting hair while waiting for a haircut at a local salon de pelo.

Educated at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco, studied and remained at Bumble and bumble in New York City for five years as an educator, session stylist and stage speaker.

The Lower East Side became his collaborative arena for design ideas among new wave artists, photographers and musicians. As a visiting stylist in Tokyo and Berline, his experience helped refine the design and production of the Signatures Straight Razor now used as a unique haircutting tool among stylists in high-ranking Manhattan salons
